California recap

We flew in to Sacramento, rented a car and drove south to San Diego. We stopped where we wanted to stop; we ate what we wanted to eat; we stayed where we wanted to stay; and we had a dang good time doing it.

What I now know about California:
1) In the war against Pepsi vs. Coke, Pepsi wins 95% of the time-woo hoo!
2) I no longer feel the need to move to Mexico to experience the Spanish culture...I can just move to California--there is no difference between the two.
3) Seals and sea lions hang out on the shore along the beaches.
4) You do not want to be driving a PT Cruiser in the middle of LA rush hour traffic. It does NOT get up and go when you need it to.
5) There is no shortage of malls in this state...some cities have more than one sitting right next to each other.

What I love about California:
1) It's consistently warmer than Oklahoma-year round.
2) It has some of the best scenic views I could ever imagine.
3) They have some of the biggest Halloween stores I've ever seen (which came in handy right before the holiday).
4) The same streets run through the entire state, in every city.
5) They have plenty of interesting free tours to take for tourists like myself (we went to the Jelly Belly Factory and the Taylor Guitar factory to see how both were made-very cool!).

What I hate about California:
1) There are more Spanish speaking radio stations than English.
2) Fog. Enough said.
3) The airports are too crowded.
4) Jack-in-the-Box took away the strawberry-banana shakes...ugh! :(
5) It's expensive.

It was a blast! Pictures to follow...
